With the help of Keith McMenomy of Taradale I relocated the 1938 Archibald entry by Violet McInnes nee Musgrave from Unit 58 at Kyneton Self Storage to 86 Hargraves Street Castlemaine.
Through Libby Noblet at Bendigo Gallery I was able to contact Peter Perry who facilitated the cleaning and restoration of the frame and painting. John Perry – Peter’s brother who restored the painting was a student of Painting at Prahran in the late sixties and remembered me.
The frame was repaired and restored by Kirsten Mackay of Castlemaine.

Hi Tony
I enjoy receiving your posts. The albums shared on flickr are great too, in particular Alpha Street and Chap Book. Louis Wain is a personal fave. That’s all …
